Terms of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use 8x.gg. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use 8x.gg only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Your account

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and remain responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Your content and license

You retain ownership of the content you create and publish on 8x.gg (“Your Content”). To operate the service, you grant 8x a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display Your Content for the purposes of running, improving, and promoting 8x.gg. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except for content others have already remixed or where retention is required by law.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to publish Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.

Remixing and forks

A core part of 8x.gg is remixing. When you publish a creation publicly, you allow other users to fork and remix it using the platform’s tools, and to publish the resulting derivative creations. When you remix another creation, you must use the provided remix features and respect any applicable rights and attribution.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use 8x.gg to:

• Break the law or infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Upload malware, or content that is harmful, deceptive, or unsafe.
• Post sexual content involving minors, or harassing, hateful, or violent content.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data, or access the service with bots except as expressly permitted.
• Probe, disrupt, or circumvent the security, rate limits, or sandboxing of the service.
• Send spam or engage in fraudulent or manipulative engagement.

Intellectual property

The 8x.gg platform, including its software, design, logos, and brand, is owned by 8x and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Third-party content

Creations and links on 8x.gg may be provided by other users or third parties and are made available “as is.” We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content. You interact with it at your own risk.

Moderation and termination

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful to users or the service. You may stop using 8x.gg and delete your account at any time.

Disclaimers

8x.gg is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 8x and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or USD 100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 8x and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of Your Content or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of 8x.gg after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
