An original portrait source-pixel thermal hatchery. Drag one visible hearth moth through a material nest. Its actual spring-lagged position injects heat into a 28×38 cellular field; soil, salt, paper, copper, mud and ice conduct that heat differently. Every egg reads the temperature of its own physical cell, accumulates a hatch only inside its species band, and cracks after sustained fever.
