The harbor notary Mara Vey sits in one room represented by four independently movable horizontal vellum leaves: WEST GLASS, MARA'S FACE, BOTH HANDS, and SHIP LEDGER. Swipe each leaf between the room as it exists `NOW` and the same room as testimony remembers it `THEN`. Four margin notes describe temporal relations among the leaves. Seal the only composite image in which every sentence can be true.
